Working Committee 2b: Equipment
Action 3 : Inventory into the research to implement the chain of safety and of the available equipment for implementing the chain of safety fot the North Sea Region into practise.

Up to now each coastal region in the North Sea Region does have its own storage and resources for specialised equipment to be used when flooding occurs. Transnational help in case of flooding does happen allready, and materials and resources are made available to other regions. This happens without any structure or on a prearranged base. A better response in case of flooding can be realised when the North Sea Regions will share their equipment, knowledge and staff. To make a NSR contingency plan work and get it implemented within the national organisations, an inventory will be made on the needed equipment, recourses and knowledge. As a result of this action, a report will be presented describing what will be necessary to make the further implementation of the model of chain of safety in the North Sea Region successful. Furthermore recommendations will be made on how and where to store and preserve this equipment, recourses and knowledge.
Action three can be split in two sub-actions:
- Inventory and study of the needed and available knowledge for implementing the chain of safety for the North Sea into practise;
- Inventory and study of the needed and available equipment for implementing the chain of safety for the North Sea into practise.
To carry out and coordinate these activities, two working committees (2a and 2b) will be formed in which all partners will be represented.
